Garant was founded in 1895. It was originally a small family operation, offering tools that were fashioned and forged by hand. Continuing investment in new technologies and the development of a highly skilled and experienced workforce have helped Garant become and remain one of the leading Canadian manufacturers of snow removal and gardening tools.
In the Garant plant, located in Saint-François de Montmagny, Québec (Canada), quality product lines are produced: Garant, Grizzly, Cougar, Lynx, Nordic, Alpine, Yukon, Practica, Xtra, Ultra, Botanica and Ergo. And business has never been better, thanks to Garant's insistence on using only the finest of materials, its ongoing research into new manufacturing techniques and new products, and its young and dynamic sales team.
In 1995, Garant celebrated its one hundredth birthday. Today, proud of its past accomplishments, the company is eager to maintain its growth, and determined to maintain its high standards of quality and its commitment to the local economy.
